Carrie Lee Atkinson Profile PhotoCarrie Lee Carter Atkinson, 46, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the NMMC in Tupelo.  She was born in Oregon on September 23, 1977 to Brandon and Betty Springer Carter.  Carrie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, eventually returning back to Mississippi where she graduated from Hatley High School.  She was a certified dental hygienist and worked in Nettleton and Aberdeen.  She was also instrumental in the State School Dentistry Program.  She enjoyed studying herbal medicine, holistic healing and singing worship songs unto her Lord.  Carrie had a personality and glow about her and would light up any room she walked in.  She knew who she was in Christ and had a passion to make a difference in the lives of those around her.  The best mimi, she never met a stranger and gave hope to so many others, even when she was in the very worst of health.  She leaves a legacy of love, devotion and care for all that she knew.

Carrie is survived by her parents, Brandon and Betty Carter; daughter, Jayelee Kendrick, CA; son, Cole Kendrick, Tupelo; sister, Michelle McKay, FL, twin sister, Christie Lynn Carter, Plantersville; brother, Zach Carter (Kim), Amory; grandchildren, Annaleese Faith Colbert, Silas Zane Colbert and Raevin Selah Colbert; aunts, Elaine Kesterson, OR, Yvonne Rowland, OK, Thaylia Kittleman, AK and Vicky Athorne, OR; uncle, Brad Carter, OR; a host of nieces and nephews.

Carrie is preceded in death by an uncle, Breland Stough.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory.
