Carrie Ann Blevins age 50, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home in Brownsville, TN. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carrie will be announced at a later date. She was born in Southaven, MI on July 28, 1969 to the late Mr. Billy Dow Blevins and Mrs. Barbara Jean Means of Drummonds, TN. She loved her children and family very much and loved all things “kids”. She gardened and enjoyed canning and was an avid reader. Mrs. Carrie was very loyal, was honest with people and extremely trustworthy. Mrs. Carrie worked as a carpenter, building cabinets, furniture and trim with her partner for 15 years. Also preceding her in death was her stepfather, Robert Lee Means; two brothers: Doug Blevins and Carl Means. She is survived by her partner of 22 years, Kevin Byrd of Brownsville, TN; one son: Justin Brooks of Brownsville, TN; three daughters: Jessica Brooks of Nashville, TN, Jayci Brooks of Brownsville, TN, Rebecca Byrd of Mason, TN; five brothers: Benjamin Blevins, David Means, Andrew Means all of Drummonds, TN, Kenneth Means of MO, Jimmy Means of Trenton, TN; three sisters: Jeanne Kaminski of Canada, Amber Means of Munford, TN, Roberta Means of SC; She leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Jaden, Jacob, Solomon and Jordan. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brownsville Funeral Home.
