Carolyne Lee Hinshaw, age 63 of Estill Springs, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, she was born on June 29, 1962, to the late David Lee and Mary Ida (Moore) Stewart. Before her retirement, Carolyne had worked at CKR. In her spare time, she would spend time going to yard sales and thrifting for great bargains. She enjoyed a great card game, hosting cookouts, and attending Singings by the Lake in the summer. Carolyne enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, with her husband Gary, and she always cherished spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. When she was able, she attended Oaklawn Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Carolyne was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hinshaw; sisters, Wanda Stewart and Ann May; brother, David Stewart; and nephew, Matthew Stewart. She is survived by her sisters, Theresa (Bob) Armstrong, Sharon Keith, and Belinda Powers; nieces and nephews, Jimmy May, Scottie Powers, Monica (Josh) Cannon, Rhonda (Wayne) Tipler, Josh Powers, Austin (Brittney) Tipler, and Jeff Powers; Goddaughter, Ella Grissett; and many nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Duckworth officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Ricky Bradford, Wayne Tipler, Austin Tipler, Josh Powers, Jeff Powers, and Mark Hinshaw serving as pallbearers.
