Carolyn Yvonne Sanders, 83 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Sanders was born on February 15th, 1939, to Earl Gilbert and Lenora Adams Jones.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doyle Sanders; children Greg Sanders (Tina) of Gurley and Angie Harrell (Chris) of Athens; grandchildren Scott Sanders (Lori) of Lacey Springs, Ginger Guess (Matt) of Huntsville, and John Aubrey Harrell of Athens; great-grandchild Aaliyah Guess; and sister Edna Elmore.
Preceded in death by her parents; and sister Doris Jean Miller.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sanders will be Friday, August 12th, 2022, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Tim Keenum and Lily Miller officiating. Visitation will Friday from 12:00-12:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Chris Harrell, Aubrey Harrell, Taylor Nichols, Scott Sanders, Lori Sanders, Ginger Guess, and Matt Guess.
