Carolyn Smith Bullock, 78, departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2024, at Diversicare in Ripley, MS.

Services celebrating Ms. Carolyn’s life will be at 2 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating.

Mrs. Carolyn was born May 2, 1946, in Cario, MS to the late Tom Arnold “Junior” and Josephine Parham Smith. She received her education from the Howell Michigan school system and was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.

A Christian, Mrs. Carolyn’s favorite pastimes included reading her Bible daily, attending church, and sharing time with her family.  Bible verses describing Mrs. Carolyn’s life include Proverbs 31:10, 25-31 which reads: “Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom. Kind instruction is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and doesn’t eat the bread of idleness.”

Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Susan Reese of Dumas, one son, Michael Guest (Joyce) of Oklahoma, one brother, Jarvis Smith (Sheryl) of Blue Mountain, four grandchildren, William Reese, Liz Gregory (Brandon), Scott Thompson (Melinda), and Stephanie Thompson, and three great-grandsons, Matthew Reese, James Gregory, and Josh Imbush.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, William Bullock, one sister, Althea Smith, and two brothers, Travis and Tim Smith.
