Carolyn was born in Hornsby, Tennessee, on July 22, 1940, to William Mayo and Addie O’Neal Sain. She went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 82 on March 14, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Christley, brother, William Mayo (Bill) Sain, Jr., her parents, and grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Andy Kirk (CJ), grandchildren Zach Kirk (Meghann), Jacob Kirk (Alix), Jessica Kirk, Jake Taylor, Maribeth Canizaro (Nick), Audrey Canizaro (Danny) and eleven precious great-grandchildren, Henry Kirk, Harrison Kirk, Charlotte Kirk, Marlow Kirk, Reece Canizaro, Leighton Canizaro, Silas Canizaro, Vayda Canizaro, Cruze Canizaro, Jett Canizaro, and Joey Canizaro. She also leaves her niece and nephew Sherry and Brian Sain, and sister-in-law, Mary Sain, and best friend of 17 years, Sarah Clenney. She cherished her Church family at Longview Point Baptist Church.
The family asks memorials to honor Carolyn be sent to Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando, MS or to St. Jude Children’s Reseach Hospital, Memphis.
