We are saddened to announce the passing of Carolyn Regina Borden Newell who passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the age of 76.
Carolyn was born on June 27, 1948, in Lawrence County, Alabama to Dennis & Elvie Borden. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for dogs. She loved to crotchet and attend church with her friends.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Tammy Schatz, Shannon Newell (Kayla), Cody Newell, Joshua Schatz, Jordan Schatz Martin, Dalton Newell, LeShea Newell, Ridlei Newell along with 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Howard Dennis Borden and mother, Elvie Octavia Parker Borden.
The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.
