Carolyn McVay, 76, of Iuka, MS, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. McVay was an excellent seamstress and she loved to sew. Affectionately known by her family as Cart, she loved spending her time with them. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetry in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Hayes. Pallbearers include Jamie Ham, Jay Hayes, Richie Taylor, Daniel Speegle, Tyler Smith, and Chuck Clark. Wesley Remkus will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Gene McVay; her daughter, Sandra McVay; two sisters, Rose Hayes and Christine Ham; two brothers, James Ham (Diane) and Timmy Ham; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Jewel Ham; a sister, Anna Ham; three brothers, Dwight Ham, Jeff Ham, and Billy Ham; her mother and father in-law, John H. and Olene McVay; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Hayes.
