Carolyn McCormack Underwood, 72, of Florence, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Brother Mack Dean officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Creek Cemetery.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Earline McCormack; son, Kevin Brackin; and brother, John Ray McCormack.
She was a member of Oakland Community Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She loved to travel and was very adventurous. She played first base for Valley Grove Baptist Church Women’s softball team and won the state championship in 1980.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, John Underwood; daughter, Kim Moore (Ben); stepsons, Adam Underwood (Priscilla), Zack Underwood (Jenny); grandchildren, Kaleb Moore, Sawyer Moore (Bailey), Seth Brackin, L J, Audrey, and Holly Underwood; great-grandchildren, Marlee and McKinlee Moore, and Oliver Brackin; sisters, Judy Tidwell and Teresa Ferrell; many nephews; and one niece.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
