Carolyn Mae Ayers – Obituary

Carolyn Mae Ayers, our precious wife and mother, went to be with Jesus on December 20, 2017 after years of sickness. Her visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. She will lie-in-state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the New LaGrange Baptist Church on Friday, December 22. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Bobby Amos and Bro. Mitchell Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery.
She spent years taking care of others. She was a member of the Community Fire Department, East Colbert Rescue Squad and New LaGrange Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ricky W. Ayers; great-granddaughter, Isabella Faith Scott; grandson, Randall Wade Ayers; parents, Herbert and Eula Hallmark; and sisters, Glenda Clement and Lila Parker.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Hilard E. Ayers; daughters, Shelaine Scott (Tim) and Donna Smallwood (Tommy); grandsons, Dustin Ayers, Eric Scott, Daniel Scott, and Zachery Smallwood; granddaughters, Amanda Demorse and Kayla Ayers; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Charlie, Coleman and Roger Hallmark.
Pallbearers are Dustin Ayers, Eric Scott, Daniel Scott, Connor DeMorse, Zachery Smallwood, and Shannon Parker.
