Carolyn Lumbley Fairley, 93, departed this life for life eternal from Generations Assisted Living on Friday evening, Feb. 2, 2024 after a period of declining health. Carolyn, the widow of the late Paul Fairley, spent many years employed by the Natchez Trace Parkway as an Interpretive Secretary, before retiring. She was born in Memphis, Tn. on July 13, l930. Paul and Carolyn were married in Memphis on June 5, 1954. Together, they were engaged and active citizens in the Tupelo Community and were members of Harrisburg Baptist Church since l960.
Tentative Graveside services are set for 11:30 AM Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 at Tupelo Memorial Park on Joyner, with interment to follow there. Visitation will be from 10 AM-11:15 before the graveside at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors.
