Carolyn L. Brown Stanford, 57, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. She was born September 24, 1964 in Red Bay, AL to Garlin and Betty Brown. She was a born-again Christian and a member of Walker Missionary Baptist Church, Golden, MS. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be Friday, August 19, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Andy Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three children – Garland West of Red Bay, AL, Dean West (Laura) of Oxford, MS and Chelsea Rogers (Cody Goza) of Tishomingo, MS; grandchildren – Gage, Khloe, Matthew, Steven and Jaxon West, Kaylee Carpenter, Kenleigh Rogers and Fisher Goza; her mother – Betty Brown; sisters – Wanda Ridge (James), Laura Spencer (James), Jessica Young (Micheal) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Stanford; her father, Garlin “Little Bud” Brown; grandparents, Grady and Pairlee Letson Brown and Dock and Quay Kelton Pearson.
Pallbearers will be Clay Ridge, John Spencer, Armando Garza, Erick Valazquez, Jimmy Adams and Bradley Brown.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
