Funeral for Carolyn Delight Oliver Richard, 67, of Town Creek will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Richard, who died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Helen Keller Hospital, was born January 1, 1948, in Lawrence County to Jimmy Lee Oliver and Bertie Garrison Oliver. She retired as an operator for EFP. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard; and parents.
Survivors include one son, Charles Wayne Richard of Hatton; four daughters, Angie Kelly (Mark) of Mount Hope, Karen Brooks Hodge (Michael) of Sheffield, Nancy Grissom (fiance’ Rick Alanskas) of Florence and Amanda Richard (fiance’ Matthew Simmons) of Hatton; brother, Lester Oliver of Wisconsin; sister, Blanche Zills of Town Creek; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; best friend and partner, Haskel Prater; stepdaughter, Mandi Prater of Sheffield; and special friend, Kristy Tuberville.
Pallbearers will be Chris Brooks, Jordan Brooks, Kasey Richard, Skyler Grissom, Matthew Simmons and Brex Jefferys.
