OI2089811740_crayton24Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs.Carolyn Crayton, 57 of Hillsboro, Alabama. Mrs.Crayton died January 12, 2015 at her residence.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Chapel Full Gospel Church in Courtland, Alabama, with Pastor Carter Videau officiating and Bishop Tommy Davis, host pastor. Interment will be in the Decatur City Cemetery.

Carolyn Denise Crayton was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on November 27, 1957 to Johnnie and Mattie Simpson. The angels called her home on January 12, 2015. Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive P.B. Church. She later joined Victory Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Carter Videau.

She was a dedicated worker and retired from Delphi. She was formerly married to Collis Crayton and to this union three beautiful daughters were born. She was a great mother who loved her daughters and granddaughter. She was affectionately known to them as their “Tater Bug”.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Simpson and Kenneth Simpson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Johnnie and Mattie Simpson; three precious daughters, Shannese Taylor,  Bridgette (Adrian) Owens, and Carla Crayton; one adorable granddaughter, Modesty Taylor; one sister, Charlotte Simpson; two brothers, Jeff (Jennifer) Simpson and Marica Simpson; sisters-in-law, Mary Simpson and Shelly Ruth Simpson; a very faithful and devoted caregiver, Virginia Hamilton; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cousins and the Class of 1976. Flower Bearers will be the Class of 197
