Carolyn Collins Parker, 81 of Arab passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Carolyn was born June 28, 1939 in Marshall County the daughter of Dewey Collins and Lucille Jones Collins. She was married 59 years to Billy R. Parker at the time of his death February 12, 2017. She was a graduate of Arab High School class of 1957, shortly after she began her career in Banking for 37 years, starting at First National Bank of Guntersville. She retired from AmSouth in 1994. She loved her church, family, friends, and most of all had an unwavering faith in God.
She is survived by Sisters: Barbara Scott and Jane Saylor (Mike); Brother: Larry Collins (Carol); Sisters-in-law: Bernice Collins and Marilyn Parker; Brother-in-law: Bobby Parker; Nieces and Nephews: Mike Camp (Donna), Keith Collins (Cindy), Kevin Collins (Heather), Korey Collins (Jennifer), Kris Collins (Chasity), Jeff Saylor, Scott Saylor (Amber), Lynne Wisener (Mark), Kay Scott, Pam Hornsby (Ronnie). She was preceded in death by Husband: Billy Parker; Daughter: Leann Parker; Sister: Nellie Ruth Camp; Brother: Jerry Collins; Brothers-in-law: Jimmy Parker, Kenneth Scott and Howard Camp; Sister-in-law: Helen Parker; Nephew: Mitch Scott; Niece: Emily Collins.
For the wellbeing of the family and friends there will be a private service Friday, December 11, 2020, at Union Hill F.C.M. Church with Brother Mark Wisener and Brother Jon Minyard officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mike Camp, Keith Collins, Kevin Collins, Korey Collins, Kris Collins, Jeff Saylor, Scott Saylor and Mark Wisener. Honorary pallbearers: Trenton Collins, Will Collins, Jay Collins, Jay Meeks, Jake Wisener, Reagan Saylor, Carson Collins, Brook Collins and Graham Collins.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to make donations to either Union Hill F.C.M. Church, 3349 Union Hill Road, Arab, AL 35016 or St. Jude Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
