Funeral service for Carolyn Byars Logan, 81, will be Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Bible Church in Decatur, AL, with Pastor Paul Cheshier officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Moulton City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Logan died on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born April 15, 1933, in Lawrence County to James D. Jefferson Byars and Elizabeth Irene Latham Byars. Mrs. Logan had two church families, one being at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wren and the second at First Bible Church in Decatur. She spent her whole life caring for children at school and at Church. She had a tremendous work ethic and helped care for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Winford Ray Logan, her parents and a daughter: Martha Carol Logan.
