Ms. Carolyn Annetta Townsend, 64, died Sunday, July 5th, 2026 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1961 in Tupelo, MS, to Larry Wade Turner and Lila Mae Sheffield Turner. Carolyn was a factory worker employed for more than 13 years by Leggett & Platt and then FXI Manufacturing. She enjoyed fishing, camping and riding on a Pontoon Boat that she and her husband built. She loved collecting oil lamps and doing ceramics, a hobby she enjoyed in her earlier adult life. Carolyn loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Terry Ledlow (Stephanie) of Mantachie; daughter, Rita Williams (Lindsey) of Pontotoc; 2 brothers, Danny Turner of Arkansas and Glenn Kennedy (Vicki) of Mantachie; 2 sisters, Telisa Irby (Robert Wade) and Teresa Brown (Ralph), all of Mantachie; her very special grandson – William Stanley and grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth, Jared, Savannah, Austin, Logan, Brett, David, Kelly, and Katie.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Larry and Lila Turner; first husband, Jerry Ledlow and 2nd husband, William H. “Bill” Townsend, and daughter, Brittany Townsend.
