Carolyn Ann Wester, age 78, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Brock, longtime owners of Brock Grocery in southeast Fort Payne; brothers Thomas “Hati” Brock (Bernice) and George “Bud” Brock; and sister Kay Smothers (Jimmy). She is survived by her husband, Jesse Mikeal “Mike” Wester; daughter Kelli Wester Lindsey (Jay); grandchildren Justin Lindsey (Haley), Kailyn Reid (Aaron); A.J. Lindsey (Lauren) and Marshall Lindsey; and four cherished great-grandchildren.

Ann was born in Fort Payne and was a proud graduate of DeKalb County High School, class of 1965. That same year she married Mike, and together they shared many years of marriage and raised Kelli.
Ann was a longtime employee of Earthgrains Bakery, where she worked until her retirement. She also was a devoted member of Howard’s Chapel in Mentone, Alabama. She found great joy in being outdoors, tending to her yard, and spending time with her beloved dog, Brandy.
Visitation will begin at noon, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., both at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne. A private graveside service will be held at Fisher Cemetery.
