Carolyn Ann Rupley, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at her residence in Phil Campbell.
Mrs. Rupley was a “Nanny” to the whole community. She was a tough and very strong yet the most loving woman around. She loved shopping at the thrift stores and wanted to help everyone. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James Fred Rupley, Sr., son, James Rupley, Jr; grandchild, Justice James Rupley; parents, Hoyt & Lillian (Stewart) Campbell; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Pauline & Mike Davis; brother, Ricky Campbell; and niece, Sarah Ann Campbell.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Barry & Brianna Rupley, Jennie & Michael Terry, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Rupley; grandchildren, Samantha (Jon) Huguley, Abigail & Jon Haynes, Sky Rupley, Tommy & Brittany Rupley, Jey & Keith Martin, Madison Hyde; great-grandchildren, Alora Danford, Stella Huguley, Ian Huguley, Justice Rupley, Allison Rupley, Hazel Martin, soon to arrive baby girl Rupley; siblings, Delores Beanita Welch (Travis), Jeffrey Wade Campbell, Eric Glenn Campbell; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation is 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Brian Scott officiating the service. The burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
The pallbearers will be Jon Huguley, Jon Haynes, Tommy Rupley, Mike Terry, Randy Welch, and Chad Gentry.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Brian Scott, Mark Bailey, and the Hospice Team of North Alabama, especially our nurse, Greta Boutwell, for the love and care shown to our family.
