What a wonderful woman she was.

Carole Sue Burleson Britton.

Born December 13, 1951-August 31, 2025

She was mother to Bonnie, Adam, Jamie, Ezekiel; grandchildren she loved; and a lot of people she loved along the way.

After the birth of her fourth child, she returned to UNA and earned her nursing degree and enjoyed her career of twenty-five years. She would serve in the Shoals, AL; Danbury and New Milford, CT; Bradenton and Sarasota, FL areas.

She was a Christian servant in her workplace, her home, the Church, and places and to people along the way. She was class in every aspect of her life.

She loved the Lord and his word. Among her education pursuits were a year at Abilene Christian University studying the Bible. She served others. She loved the Bible; she loved the church. She served many congregations of God’s people. She did so with a loving and Christ like spirit. She taught many Bible classes, and she lived the life.

Her family was close. She loved her sisters Donna King and Andrea Palmer, her brother Monte, and Tina Burleson. Aaron was a special nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Margaret Burleson and her brother Anthony. She would have been married 53 years November 3.

She had home health care and hospice the last four years. Thank each one of you for what you do. Her Medicare has covered everything. These four years have been a special blessing in so many ways. Nurse Jamie has been a blessing to have serving her mother. And for those who have lived with her through these times Gene, Madison, Jamie, Russell, Zeke, and Kelsey special thoughts. And to all who loved her.

One blessing of going on a journey as this is just to see how good, nice, and generous people are. If you are not part of a church, you should be.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday September 4 at noon with visitation from 10:00 -12:00 Colbert Memorial Chapel. Dennis Jones will be officiating.
