Carolanne Gould Jahnke, 86, of Huntsville, AL passed away on September 10, 2023.
Mrs. Jahnke was born in Martinez, CA on October 24, 1936, to Donald and Alice Gould.
Carolanne married Chuck (Charles) Jahnke on October 13, 1956, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They were married for 66 years before her passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, Grandma, Great- Grandma, and sister. Her life was dedicated to taking care of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck; her three sons, Jay and Betty Jahnke (Saline, MI), Eric and Renee Jahnke (Arnold, MO), Dale and Eva Jahnke (Huntsville, AL); 9 grandchildren – Katey Halbert, Brett Jahnke, Jon Jahnke, Dan Jahnke, Christina Jahnke, Jeremy Jahnke, Kayla Jahnke, Derek Jahnke, and Emma Jahnke; and 9 great-grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters; Alan and Kathy Gould (Pahrump, NV), Art and
Sharon Gould (Clearlake, CA), Marialice Phillips (Little River, SC), and Dorisjean Brennen (Kingman, AZ).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob Gould (brother), Georgiamae Basener (sister) and Josiah Jahnke (grandson).
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, Monrovia Volunteer Fire Department, or your favorite charity. Visitation will be Saturday, September 16th, from 12 – 2pm at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by the service at 2pm in the chapel. The burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
