Carol M. Leman, age 80 of Columbia, TN went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2023. She was born in Miami, Florida to the late James David Harper and Eunice Wardell Harper. Mrs. Leman lovingly served alongside her husband where he pastored at Plantation Baptist Church for 26 years.  He would have been the first to tell you that she played a very key role in his ministry. She was his partner in life, in parenting, and in ministry for 59 years.  She moved with her husband to Sebring, Florida in 2006 and they enjoyed many years of retirement building wonderful memories with family and friends. She loved her children fiercely and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Ronald) Booth and Julie (Andrew) Florio; grandchildren, Amy (Michael John) Lovell, Jonathan (Emily) Duncan and Olivia Florio; great grandchildren, Harper Lovell, Jaxson, Camden and Charleigh Duncan and three step-grandchildren, Taylor Florio, Ronald Lee Booth, III, and Daniel Booth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leman, parents James and Eunice Harper,and brother, James Harper. Her life was celebrated by her children and grandchildren in a small private service on January 12, 2023, at Spring Hill Memorial Park and she was laid to rest next to her loving husband. A memorial service may be held at a later date in Florida where they served so many years.
