Mrs. Carol Joan Precise Cassels, age 63, of Scottsboro, passed peacefully, into the arms of Jesus, on Friday, November 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Cornelison and Bro. Jonathan Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Goosepond Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Ernest Cassels; daughter, Brandie (Nick) Tucker; son, Kevin (Gail) Cassels; brother, Thomas (Renae) Precise; grandchildren, Collin (Peyton) Chisenall, Addison Tucker, Jaxson Tucker, Kevin Jr. (Ariel) Cassels, and Keith (Raine) Cassels; great-grandchildren, Ryder Chisenall, Preston Cassels, Renley Cassels, Braxton Cassels, and Hazel Mae Cassels; aunt, Mary Jeffery; special cousin, Phyllis Wilson; and Shellie McGaha, whom she thought of as her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Precise and Bessie Jeffery Ferguson and brother, Phillip Precise.
