Funeral Services for Mrs. Carol Grogan, age 75 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 1:00 P.M. with Austin Cline officiating. Burial will follow at the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Grogan passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Mrs. Grogan was a graduate of Clay County High School, and received her Cosmetology degree from Ayers Technical College in Calhoun County. Mrs. Grogan worked for Higgins Slacks as a seamstress, Ace Rubber Plant, and lastly at B.A.E. Systems in Oxford as a forklift operator until she retired. Quiet, yet caring by nature, she enjoyed spending her time shopping or keeping up with friend on Facebook. She was a loving sister and aunt to many.
Mrs. Grogan is survived by one brother, Robert Cline (Brenda) of Ashland; two nephews: Bradley Cline of Ashland and Darrell Cline (Tammie) of Oxford; her great-nieces and nephews: Cody Cline (Annaleigh), Austin Cline (Emily), Andrew Cline (Shelby), and Caitlin Jones (Casey); her great-great nieces and nephews: Rowan, Ryleigh, and Summer Cline, with Brooks Cline on the way; plus other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Launa Green Cline; and one brother, Bill Cline.
Active Pallbearers will be Donald Green, Casey Jones, Cody Cline, Andrew Cline, Charlie DePaula, Timmy Costley, Michael Costley, Stephen Costley, and Brent Costley.
Her visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland beginning at 11:30 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
