Carol Capps Wesley, age 79, of Gadsden, Alabama slipped away from this life peacefully in her sleep into the arms of Jesus on January 31, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Nursing School at the University of Alabama. She met the love of her life and husband of 54 years while working at the University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She moved to Seoul Korea in 1967 to follow her husband while he was stationed as a Major for the United States Army. During her time in Korea She taught the English language. In 1971 she and her husband relocated to Gadsden, Alabama where she raised her two daughters, became involved in the community which included being a member of the First Baptist Church, Antiquarian Society of Gadsden, and Needlepoint guild. She was a dedicated supporter of animals through the Guiding Eyes for the Blind, The Morris Animal Foundation and the Etowah County Humane Society. Mrs. Wesley was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and faithful friend. Her family and friends were blessed to enjoy her self taught gift for cooking. She is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Capps and her parents, Ira Bearl and Margaret Busby Capps. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Dr. Ralph Norman Wesley, Jr.; her two daughters, Joanna Wesley Harrison of Birmingham, Alabama and Karen Wesley Wilhite (Jason) of Fort Myers, Florida; and her three grandchildren, Ann Wesley Harrison of Birmingham, Alabama, Samuel Clayton Harrison of Birmingham, Alabama and Levy Storm White of Hulbert Field, Fort Walton, Florida.
