Carol Ann Pace Cason, age 64, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away on Aug. 15, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on Aug. 2, 1958 In Chicago, Ill. to Arlie and Anna Rico Pace.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was of the Christian faith and found strength in the Lord. She was a homemaker for a number of years, and was employed for Walmart in Haleyville for 25 years before retiring in 2006.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; great grandson Weston Sawyer; nephews, Michael Whitman and Bradley Cason; sisters-in-law, Melba Whitman and Betty Parker.
Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Ronnie J.Cason, of Haleyville; sons, Jimmy (Melissa) Cason of Stuttgart, Ark., and Jeremy (Jennifer) Cason of Haleyville; grandchildren, Jordan, Cameron, and Gavin Cason, all of Stuttgart; and McKenzie Adams and Hunter Cason, both of Haleyville; great grandchildren, Sophia Abbott, Brettlee Brewer, and is expecting grandson Deacon; sisters, Pearl Cason of Haleyville, Judy (Paul) Jones of East Franklin, Linda Haugeberg of Illinois; and brother, Jackie Pace, both of Illinois; brothers-in-law, Garland Whitman of Haleyville, and Ricky (Marie) Cason of LaGrange, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Judy (Ralph) Fuller of LaGrange, Ga., Carla (Phillip) Brakefield of Haleyville and Pat Bozman of Arab, AL.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, with Delmer Duboise officiating. Burial will follow in East Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Cason, Hunter Cason, Jeremy Cason, Zackery Cason, Michael Cason, Vinson Cason, Paul Farthing and Phillip Brakefield. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Cason and Gavin Cason.
