Funeral service for Carlyine Gibson Pierce age 82 of Somerville, will be July 24th at Shiloh Baptist Church 12:00pm. Christian Pierce will be officiating with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday evening July 23rd at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pierce who died July 20th at Summerford Nursing Home, was born July 3, 1941 in Lonnie and Lois Gibson.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and worked as a homemaker her entire married life. She loved to sing, she loved to cook, she loved to laugh, she loved her family, but most of all she loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. If you were lucky enough to be a close friend to her, then she considered you part of her family.
She is survived by: one son; Christian Pierce Hartselle, one daughter; Samara Haynes and her husband Larry of Birmingham, two grandchildren; Kyle and Katie Haynes and her adopted son Edward Gibson and his wife Angie Gibson.
