Carlos Sam Jones, 89, Russellville, Alabama passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Jones lived several years in Joliet, Illinois, but for the past 28 years in Russellville. He was a WWII Army veteran and a retired construction worker.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 14, 2016, 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Darren Steward and Stan Galloway officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 noon until time of funeral. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memory Mausoleum. Survivors include wife, Vera Jones; children, Martha Adams, David (Sue) Jones, Carlos Lee Jones; stepson, Donnie (Brenda) Hollaway; sisters, Ardis Woodruff, Sue Shewbart, Linda Edgar; brothers, Jay Jones, Donald Jones, John Paul Jones; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one special great grandson, Dalton Blalock; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, William Troy and Mary Fannie Jones; infant son; brothers, William Royce, Ralph, Raymond Jones; sister Jane Harrell;
