Carlos Lee Beck, age 64, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN. He was a native of Decatur, AL, boiler maker at Ingalls Shipbuilding, and a member of Deerfield Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 42 years, Annette Waltman Beck of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Lindsay Ditsworth (Joe) of Hurley, MS and Andrea Cozart (Blake) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Baylee and Ryker Ditsworth; his parents, Larral “Tom” and Joyce Beck of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Julia Bullard (Doug) of Goose Creek, SC and Rina Childers (Jeff) of Crestview, FL; numerous nieces; nephews; and other family members; as well as many friends, who were like family.
Carlos loved the Lord with all his heart. He and his family were members at Wade Baptist Church in Wade, MS. He served as a deacon and sound technician for many years before moving to TN in 2005. He also enjoyed serving his community as chief of Three Rivers Volunteer fire department for many years. In TN, they found Deerfield Baptist Church to be their new home. There he served as a deacon and sound technician as well. Of all the jobs he had in his life he took the most pride in his 20 years of laboring as a shipfitter at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS building ships for the Navy.
Those serving as pallbearers; Braden Orozco, Landon Orozco, Cody Waltman, Jason Bullard, Josh Ray, Bryan Jack, and Josh Childers. Also, serving as honorary pallbearers; Justin Morris, David Ray Sr., Tom Motzney, Eddie Woodside, Shaun Butler, Lanny Evans, and Henry Phillips.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025, and from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on March 29, 2025 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025, with Tony Gordy and Jeff Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
