Funeral service for Carlos Edward Sutton, 61, of Athens, was Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home chapel with Dusty McLemore officiating. Burial was in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation was 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Sutton, who died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at his residence, was born March 7, 1952, to Edward and Syble Sutton. He retired from International Paper after 36 years. He was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Kyle Sutton.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sutton; one daughter, Peni Sutton Glover; two stepsons, Jeremy Steadman (Allison) and Chad Steadman (Hannah); two sisters, Betty Jones (Gary) and Shirley Holland (Troy); mother and father-in-law, Pat and Jack Coffey; three grandchildren, Taylor Glover, Avery Glover and Leo Glover; and four stepgrandchildren, Bailey Steadman, Trey Steadman, Will Steadman and Wes Steadman.
Pallbearers were Tony Love, Gabriel Sutton, Darrell Quails, Dale Sutton, Ricky Sutton and Mike Terry.
