Funeral service for Carlos “Chubby” Holmes, 75, will be Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Bullard and Rev. Gary Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery in Eva, AL. Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Holmes died on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1939, in Morgan County to Looney F. Holmes and Buena Luell Woodard Holmes. He was a member of the Pines Baptist Church and was a drywall installer for Holmes Drywall. He loved drag racing and was known as “Chubby” by all of his racing friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
