Carlile Wright, 85, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Iuka Hospital. He was born in Allsboro, AL to Woodrow Wright and Ida Mae Berryman Wright. He was a chemical operator at Cherokee Nitrogen for over fifty years and attended Tishomingo Methodist Church.
Services will be Tuesday, April 1, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Steve Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a daughter, Pattie Day; grandchildren, Hannah Ayers (Chandler), Kaid Wright and Karlie Wright; great-grandchild, Addison Farris; sisters, Martha Rose Murphy (Terry) and Geneva Henderson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Wright; son, Tim Wright; granddaughter, Kelsey Wright and sister, Joan Pounders.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Lindsey, James Crowell, Chandler Ayers, Doug Nunley, Tony Orrick and Stevie Orrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Barnes, Eddie Nunley and Tommy Nunley.
