Carlene Truett Walters

Carlene Truett Walters, 71, of Falkville, formerly of Decatur, AL., Passed away on September 14, 2019. Her visitation will be on September 16, 2019 at 4:00. The Celebration of life will begin at 5:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Carlene is survived by her children, Robin Young (Macky), Gene Walters, III (Sharon). Seven grandchildren Blake Robinson (Johanna), Matthew Young (Amy), Jessica Birge (Justin), Whitney Wiggins (Jordan), Tyler Walters, Sierra Laine Walters, and Brooke Walters. Nine great grandchildren Jack and Luke Robinson, Lyla Young, Madison, Abby, and Isaiah Birge, Jace, Emma, and Caroline Wiggins.
She is preceded in death by her daughters Alisha Blackwood and Donna Robinson. Her husband, Herbert “Gene” Walters, Jr. Her parents Gilton “Carl” Truett and Laura Bell Posey Truett.
She was born in Hollywood, FL and later grew up in Swancott, AL. She was baptized at Greenbriar Baptist Church in Madison AL. She began her dental technician career at sixteen and retired after owning her own dental lab. She loved her kids and grandkids.
Pallbearers include Blake Robinson, Matthew Young, Justin Birge, Jordan Wiggins, Quinn Cook.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Lupus Foundation of North Carolina in honor of her granddaughter Sierra Laine Walters.
