Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mrs. Carlene Morris Rowe, age 77 of Winchester. Mrs. Rowe passed from this life peacefully on June 24, 2021. A faithful member of Marble Plains Baptist Church, she enjoyed fishing, sewing and working with various arts and craft projects in her leisure time. She will be best remembered for her glamorous flower beds and her great love of gardening. Mrs. Rowe is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Hill Morris and her father, John Howard Morris, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing, her husband of 54 years, James R. Rowe; daughters, Zola Barbour of Ocala, FL and Maritza Wiggs of Chattanooga, TN., her sons, Stanley Rowe of Nashville, Vidal Rowe and Reginald “Reggie” Rowe, both of Winchester. She also leaves her sisters, Maxine Morris of Winchester, Billie Rooks and her husband, Walter of Chattanooga; brother, John Howard “Rocky” Morris, Jr. of Lorain, OH. ; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special niece/daughter, Annette Childress Bean of Winchester and numerous other nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends and extended family. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Sunday June 27, 2021 between the hours of 12 noon and 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jack Hice of Marble Plains Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
