Carl Wade Edwards, Sr. Carl Wade Edwards, 65, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Thursday.

Mr. Edwards was a member of New Vision United Pentecostal Church which was one of his favorite places to be. He loved watching football with his boys. Mr. Edwards was known for saying “2 Bolts”, which could mean finishing something in 10 minutes or 2 days, and saying “Love you too.” He was a man of great faith and enjoyed sharing his faith with others by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mr. Edwards greatest accomplishment was his family who deeply cherished and loved him.

He was preceded in death by father, James Rayburn Edwards; mother, Reba Edwards.

Surviving are wife, Shirley Edwards; sons, Carl Wade Edwards Jr. and wife Angela, Michael Edwards, and Christopher Edwards; daughter, Delilah Roberson; grandsons, Derek Edwards, Camden Edwards, Dylan Edwards, and Carter Clutts; granddaughter, Kinsley Clutts; brothers, James Edwards, Jr., and Anthony Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Wade Edwards, Chris Edwards, Mike Edwards, Derek Edwards, Camden Edwards, and Dylan Edwards.

Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Monday at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Giarratano officiating.

Interment will be in the Bush Cemetery.
