Funeral for Carl Milton Letson, 69, of Hillsboro, will be Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Hillsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Letson, Rev. Steve Kelsoe and Rev. Brandon Kerby officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Letson, who died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital Parkway Campus, was born Monday, Dec. 9, 1946, to Jimmy Letson and Lenos Smith Letson. He was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church and Courtland Masonic Lodge. He retired from GM and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Letson; mother, Lenos Smith Letson; wife, Brenda Gail Letson; two brothers, Sam Letson and Jimmy Lynn Letson; and sister, Tillie Shelton;
Survivors include two sons, Carl M. “Bu” (Ginger) Letson and Brandon Letson; four brothers, Wendell Letson, Jody (Diane) Letson, Archie (Janet) Letson and David (Beth) Letson; two sisters, Syble Naylor and Anita Watkins; and grandchildren, Braxton Carl Letson and Abby Grace Letson.
Pallbearers will be Craig Terry, Terry Rose, Bobby Terry, Rodney Letson, Wendell Letson, Jr., Archie Letson, Jr., Wesley Holland and Irvin Holland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Dyar, Greg Letson, Greg McGregor, King Streater, Ed Underwood, Dwight Smith, Ricky Terry, A. C. Cottingham, Mark Naylor, Rodney Terry, Danny Rose and Jeff Layton.
