Carl George, age 67, of Hammond, Indiana passed away on December 15, 2022. He was born in Francisco, Alabama to the late Daylon and Vester George on June 13, 1955. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn George, 3 daughters, Olivia (Chris) Anthony, Becky Summers, and Christie (Josh) McCarron, and 3 brothers, Steve (Tracy) George, Calvin George, and Alan George. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Carl worked as a plumber for Jack Waters Plumbing and was a member of the Local 130 Plumbers Union until he retired in 2019. Carl Enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He often took them fishing, hiking, and on many trips down south to see family.
Carl was an avid Nascar and Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. He was often winning when playing poker, bags, pool, and horseshoes while singing along to old country music and enjoying an ice-cold Budweiser or VO and water.
A visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral home, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322 on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Final services will be held at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398 on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Chapel Service at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022, and burial service immediately following at the family cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to assist with funeral costs to support the remaining family.
