Carl E. “Eddie” Harrison – Obituary

Carl E. “Eddie” Harrison, age 70, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home in Cherokee. Visitation will be Sunday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. George Henley officiating. The burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.

Eddie was a native of Shiloh, Tennessee, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was a retired maintenance operator for B.O.C. and a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Flora Harrison and brothers, Robert, Gibb and Sam.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Patricia W. Harrison; daughter, Tina Harrison Meadows; brother, Bill Harrison and wife, Novada; sister Grace Boggs; and granddaughter, Savannah Grace “Little Bit” Meadows, PawPaw’s pride and joy.

Pallbearers will be Darren Wallace, Dennis Wallace, Rod Wallace, Andy Wallace, Patrick Taylor, Heath Taylor, J.D. Henslee and Randy Meadows.

Honorary pallbearers are Franklin Posey, Kenneth Thomason, Eugene Puckett, Nelson Wallace, Arnold Rickman, David Wallace and Mickey Brock (posthumously).

A special thanks to Dr. Andre Taylor and staff for their constant care and concern. We also want to thank Southern Care Hospice: Rose, Felicia, Misty, Bobbie and Dawn for their love and support over the past few months.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Cooking Angels” of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
