Carey Gwynetta Wolfe, age 58, of Dora, AL, passed away on April 2, 2020 of cardiac arrest. Carey is survived by three daughters, Mandy Saber, Jessica Wolfe, and Briana Stewart and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Pearl Thorn and sisters, Brenda Jones and Monica Hawkins. Her father, Porter Thorn, preceded her in death.
Carey was fun-loving and big hearted. She cared deeply about her friends and loved ones. She loved to be silly, laugh, and make jokes. She was proud of her three daughters and she loved spoiling her grandchildren with books and toys.
Carey was kind. She gave freely of herself to others. When her girls were young, she taught their Sunday School classes and often volunteered at their elementary school events. Later in her life, she regularly helped her neighbors. She babysat for friends who needed childcare and gave rides to people in her community that did not have transportation.
Carey was loved and she will be missed.
Due to the unique circumstances presented by COVID-19, no funeral service is scheduled for this time. A memorial will be held at a future date.
