FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department report a traffic death after car crashed into the Green Valley Nursery:
“Just after 8:00 p.m. on February 26, 2024, a Florence police officer was flagged down at the intersection of Huntsville Road and Cox Creek Parkway. Witnesses reported a Cadillac SRX had driven through the business.
Officers began providing life-saving aid to the driver, 68, of Florence, who succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation; it appears the driver suffered a medical event before the crash.
We want to extend our condolences to the family of the victim.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of the family.”-Sergeant Ryan Kelly
