LAUDERDALE COUNTY-A single-vehicle crash on Thursday, May 21, has claimed the life of a Florence man.
Charles Evans Baskins, 45, was critically injured when the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving entered a curve, left the roadway, and struck an embankment. Baskins was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital where he died that same day at 10:25 p.m. The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. on Lauderdale County 8 10 miles north of Florence.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
