Candy Jean Vandiver, 39, of Tuscumbia passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-3:00p.m at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeff Eddie officiating.
Candy was preceded in death by her uncle, Richard Hughes; aunt, Jane Pennington and nana, Willene Black. She is survived by her beloved boyfriend, Tracy Smith; mother, Mildred Vandiver; noniy, Melba Eddie and husband, Roger; grandmother, Thelma Vandiver; best friend and caregiver, Cookie Smith and husband, Billie Gene; sisters, Angie O’Neal, Tammy Horton and Amy Gilbert; aunt, Linda Scott; uncle, James Pennington; special nieces, Emily and Madelynn Horton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Trevor Smith, Lesley Smith, Denny Peck, Richard Elliott, Bennie Hale and Justin Pennington.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of the UAB Hospital’s MICU, DaVita Dialysis and Dr. Boorgu.
