TUSCUMBIA-Camp Courage…A Helen Keller Experience is designed to encourage and inspire children with Visual and/or Hearing Impairments to develop a greater
confidence in their abilities, to form lifelong connections with other students in Alabama, and to create a vision for the future. The Camp is held on the grounds of Helen Keller’s Home in tuscumbia, Alabama.
The Helen Keller Foundation is happy to announce that they are accepting their third round of campers for the year! They are taking applications for rising 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students that are currently enrolled in Alabama schools. If you know a child with visual and/or hearing impairment that could
benefit from and enjoy this camp please do not hesitate to apply. This will be a fun-filled weekend that the campers will never forget.
Camp Courage is free of charge to eligible students. The application deadline for the Camp starting in September 24th through the 27th will be March 23rd. Contact Sue Pikilton, Executive Director at 256.383.4066 or email her at helenkeller.birthplace@comcast.net.
