Cam René Evans, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born on March 9, 1958, in Michigan to Shelby and Mina Palmer.
Services will be private for the family. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
René was a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center for many years. She later worked as a legal secretary for Jim Waide and Associates and as an office manager at Home Healthcare. She enjoyed arts and crafts, journaling, reading her Bible, and especially bird watching.
Survivors include her two sons, Paul Wilburn of Oklahoma City, OK, and Luke Evans of Fulton; two brothers, Adam Palmer (Angie) of Tremont and Eddie Palmer (Anne) of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Nicole Palmer Konkol (Zachary) of Frankfort, KY; and three grandchildren, Madison Warren, Eliana Wilburn, and Abigail Wilburn.
