UNA President William Cale – Announced that he is resigining

FLORENCE – This was not widely expected, so when the Campus Email system circulated the news is caught a lot of people by surprise. Thursday evening, the very popular UNA President, William Cale informed the University population that he had decided to exit his post.

Here is the text of his email:

“Dear Campus Community,

I write to let you know that I will be making a pretty large change in my life in a few months. I will resign from the Presidency of UNA effective July 1, but I hope to remain active with the university for an additional six months after that as we move through this transition period. While it is true that I am looking forward to this change, it is equally true that leaving all that has been accomplished and especially all that is in process, is very difficult. I very much look forward, pending approval from our Board, to have the opportunity to continue to focus on a few university projects where I can be helpful.

Since this is more a letter of pending change than a letter of farewell, I will simply conclude with a hearty thanks for all the support you’ve given me, and the hard work we’ve put in together, to bring us to this good place.

Best,

Bill Cale”
