C.J. “Jack” Giddy, 67, went home to the open arms of his Lord and Savior Friday, March 13, 2015. He retired from TVA as Human Resource Officer after 32 years, and was a serving member of the Faith Church in Florence. He was a veteran and served his country in Korea during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, and childhood sweetheart, Judy Beasley Giddy.; sons, Scott Giddy (Kristy), Marc Giddy (Hope), both of North Georgia: five grandchildren, Heath, Bryson, Coy, Cheyanne and Sara Grace; two step-grandchildren, Jaiden and Makenzie; brother, Ronald (Monika) of Holland, Michigan; sister, Barbara Jamerson (Mike) of Washington Township, MI; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin and Aligene Giddy of Hamilton, Alabama and grandson, Casey Giddy of North Georgia.
Pallbearers are Ricky Young, Cameron Nichols, Kent Beasley, Heath Giddy, Bryson Giddy and Coy Cannon.
Visitation will be today from 2-5 p.m. and from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Greenview Memorial Funeral Home in Florence. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, with burial at Florence Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and the Cancer Society.
He will forever be in the hearts of the ones who knew and loved him.
