Funeral service for Byram Blackwood, 64, will be Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Colee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Blackwood died on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born June 1, 1951, in Morgan County to Arlin Blackwood and Cleo Tanner Blackwood. Mr. Blackwood was a Vietnam War Veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed by Wolverine Tube in the Casting Department and was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church in Somerville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Orlanda Blackwood.
