Buster Brown Burleson, age 92, Haleyville, AL. passed away Wednesday July 8, 2020 at his home. A worker throughout his life, as a young man he bought a farm, began planting and harvesting crops, buying timber and sawmilling on his own. Later, he and Ara Lou were to own and operate businesses in Haleyville including a motel, ladies’ and mens’ store, and a shoe store. He was a member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ, where he served as Elder.
Funeral service will be Friday July 10, 2020 at 4:00PM at Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville, AL., with Matthew Balentine, Adam Faughn and Nickey McCreless officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery. A time for Friends to visit with the Family will be after the service in the fellowship hall.
Buster is survive by his wife of 72 years, Ara Lou Loden Burleson; children, Brenda (Mark) Jones, Steve (Kris) Burleson, Becky Terry and Kay (Danny) Tedford; sister, Bobbie West; grandchildren, Ki Jones, Caleb Jones, Kelton Tedford, Rylan Terry, Justin Terry, Bradley Tedford, Dylan Burleson, Daniel Burleson and Krista Terry; great grandchildren, Sadie Jones and Gunnar Jones; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Veto and Belle Burleson; brothers and sisters, Floy Mann, Leburn Burleson, Coy Burleson, Cecil Burleson, Fleeta McCreless, Drexel Pickard and Artievee Burleson.
