Burlon “Sonny” Hugh Davis
Mr. Davis, 78, a lifelong resident of Georgia Mountain, Guntersville passed away Thursday at Marshall medical Center. Everyone that met him would remember him and possibly one of his many stories. Whether the stories were about hunting, working in the fields with his uncle’s or driving some sort of heavy equipment he could keep you entertained for hours. He was the son of Leon& Mary (McClendon) Davis and the brother of Mary lee Bolding and Elizabeth Jane Cornelius and father of Ronald Hugh Davis who have preceded him in death. As a young lad Sonny chose Nalda Jo Baugh as his bride and together they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last September.
He is survived by his wife Nalda Jo Davis; son- Randy Joe (wife Deborah) Davis; Grandchildren- Adam Joe (wife Meiko) Davis and Robert Robbie” Burlon Davis; great grandchildren- Ayami Mariel, Moxley Gant, Langston Hugh and Leighton LaRue. Sonny Davis was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11:00am at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville with Rev. Billy Masters officiating. The visitation will Friday at the funeral home from 5:00pm till 8:00pm. The burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
