According to police, McKinney was stopped by security employees at Wal-Mart after she was seen taking nine items and putting them in her purse. The L.P. officers attempted to stop McKinney while she was exiting the building, but when they tried to stop her and check her purse, she fought the guard.

McKinney then allegedly took some of the items out of her purse and threw them on the ground and fled to her vehicle, where she then backed into one car twice and then hit another on her way out.

McKinney has been charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree burglary and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. There were no injuries reported.

According to police McKinney’s misdemeanor charges have been upgraded to felonies, this because she used force while attempting to escape.
